Things to Do

There are several major events and venues that residents of Silver Lake can enjoy, one of which is the Silver Lake Reservoir. The reservoir is a non-profit with a mission to preserve the history and recreational opportunities of the major reservoirs in Silver Lakes. 

Silver Lakes Sports Complex is “designed to serve the amateur youth sports market, with primary emphasis on youth soccer.” It has a huge sports complex with 24 full-size soccer fields and a lit stadium with 5,000 seats. The outdoor concert facility, The BackYard, seats 10,000 people. There are five equestrian arenas and 1,500 horse stalls. There is an intimate FieldHouse restaurant and a large outdoor cafe. Silver Lakes is a sports mecca and community hub. 

Pet lovers enjoy the Silver Lake Dog Park for a day of fun with their furry friends. This large park is a safe place for dogs to roam freely and play with other dogs. 

Residents also flock to the Silver Lake Picture Show for an evening of outdoor movies. It started showing outdoor movies in 2012 and has grown to be one of the largest outdoor screening venues in the area. 

Residents also visit the Farmers’ Market, where they get fresh and locally-produced fruits and vegetables,  baked goods, gifts, and trinkets from small shops in the market.
